Arrival Ceremony of the Peace Light
On December 10, the Peace Light will once again arrive in Brussels.
Lit in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, it travels the world like the eternal Olympic flame, as a symbol of peace and hope. When journalists no longer dared to carry the Peace Light from Palestine to Jordan, one woman from Vienna, thanks to her gentle strength (according to Peace Light International), managed to bring it across the border. Today, the light travels the world, carried by countless hands and hearts, connecting people across all borders, religions, ages, and backgrounds.
Together with Peace Light Belgium and House of Compassion, Pax Christi Flanders welcomes the Peace Light at the Beguinage Square in Brussels. Afterwards, we will enter the Beguinage Church for a warm and inspiring program. Simultaneous translation will be provided by interpreters in the church. You are most welcome!
