DESCRIPTION:Slavery may be officially abolished, but today it is taking new forms. Around the world, 50 million people still live in conditions similar to slavery. In our country, too, it is not a rare phenomenon. Undocumented migrants or those working in fragile statuses face inhuman treatment, late or no payment of wages, unreasonable working hours, etc.\nThis exhibition deals with slavery in the past, slavery today and the long road towards a world free of slavery. It was organised in collaboration with KU Leuven / KADOC.\nThe exhibition is on permanent display during House of Compassion’s opening hours:\n\nTuesday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm and on\nSunday from 2pm to 5pm. On Mondays, House of Compassion is closed.\n\n
